• In 1965 newspaper circulation figures by 25 million.
• That was 1.4 newspapers per house which was down on the 1950s when 2 papers per households. 

2010s

• Circulation in 2010 fell to 10 million (0.4 per household).
• Radio tv and the internet has caused this fall in circulation figures.
