Postmodernism films often contain the following characteristics:

1. Challenges genre conventions: might be a mixture of many genres; challenge typical characters roles etc.
2. Pastiche: imitates other texts, humorous take on society/culture.
3. Hyper-reality: makes the audience aware thta they are watching a movie.
