Regulation: The radio industry is regulated  by Ofcom, who also cover the tv industry. Ofcom's duty is to examine complaints made against radio stations, to determine if the broadcasting code has been breached.

Exam Style Question: The sun portrais jerry corny as a very negative figure as they compare him to a nightmare and they use big fond and a picture of the house of parlament in black and white which gives of a horror vibe and helps to create the nightmare idea. The Guardian portrait him as a positive person as they use a picture which is low angle shot and shows him with happy kids which makes him seem sympathetic, the low angle shot is also used to create respect for him.

Gender And Feminism  Cover shows attitude towards women has changed because the images and layout show women have power and that there has been a sexual revolution. the main image is low angle close up on the queen positioned on the top of the page this shows Britain is quite forward towards female rights because there is a female monarch running the country. There is a small image of her husband this reinforces the connotation that she is in charge. The lingerie advert shows changing attitude towards a woman thought of sex. Racism

1960s In the 1960s they feared tv and radio would take there business. In 1965 newspaper circulation figures by 25 million. That was 1.4 newspapers per house which was down on the 1950s when 2 papers per households.  2010s Circulation in 2010 fell to 10 million (0.4 per household). Radio tv and the internet has caused this fall in circulation figures.
